Job Overview: A reputable family law firm in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney specializing in divorce and family law. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to serving the needs of families and children, with a client-first approach. This role provides the opportunity to work with an experienced paralegal team, represent clients in court, and collaborate with other attorneys on a variety of family law cases. With offices in Vancouver and Longview, there are potential expansion opportunities to Ridgefield/La Center.

Location:

  • Vancouver, WA

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to family law cases
  • Represent clients in court and negotiations, primarily in Clark and Cowlitz Counties
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on family law cases
  • Work with an experienced paralegal team to manage and maintain case files
  • Cover cases for other attorneys as needed
  • Provide compassionate legal assistance to clients during challenging family situations

Requirements:

  • Active bar membership in Washington State
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to handle a full caseload of family law matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, child custody, and support cases
  • Strong legal research, writing, and litigation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload
