Hartford office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks energy associate attorney with 1-3 years of transactional experience. The candidate will assist on energy transactions, including M&A, equity participation, loans, joint ventures, negotiation and drafting of contracts, including power purchase agreements, energy services agreements, engineering, procurement and construction arrangements, and related arrangements associated with the development of energy and infrastructure projects and supporting off-take arrangements. An entry-level associate with a strong interest in energy transactional work will be considered. Admission to the Connecticut Bar or willingness to become admitted is required.

The candidate must have excellent academic credentials and written and oral communication skills. Should preferably have excellent technical, professional and client service skills.

Many of the firms attorneys are active in many community, professional and civic matters. Associates receive in-house training in a variety of areas and early client contact and hands-on experience. There is a business casual dress code, but associates are expected to keep professional clothing at the office in case of short notice meetings. All associates are expected to spend at least 50 hours annually on pro bono, and this is part of their billable hour expectation of 1800.
