Labor and Employment Attorney

A law firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Labor and Employment Attorney with 4-8 years of experience in litigation areas such as labor and employment, commercial litigation, higher education & Title IX, class actions, or multi-district litigation. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, strong organizational and analytical skills, and knowledge of county, state, and federal courts and related rules of civil procedures. The candidate should also be forward-thinking, organized, and a team player with the ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation in labor and employment matters
• Participate in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom experiences
• Conduct internal investigations
• Manage multiple files and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Maintain detailed and organized case files
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and preparation
• Stay updated on developments in labor and employment law

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar
• 4-8 years of experience in relevant litigation areas
• Knowledge of county, state, and federal courts and related rules of civil procedures
• Experience in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom experiences
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
