Houston office of our client seeks attorney with 4-7 years of experience. The candidate will be supporting the practice by performing general research and writing. Will be contributing to a broad range of intellectual property matters related to patents, trademarks and trade secrets. Handling and prosecuting patent and trademark applications both domestic and foreign, particularly in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, bio engineering and/or petroleum engineering, and related technologies. Evaluating freedom to operate and preparing invalidity assessments. Drafting technology license agreements. Must have 2-3 years of patent prosecution experience. Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, bio engineering, petroleum engineering or similar technologies is required. Preferred to have licensed to practice law in Texas and be in good standing, or qualified for reciprocity in the State of Texas and/or sit for the Texas Bar. Should be admitted or eligible to practice before the USPTO.

Strong analytical and writing skills having the ability to communicate concisely and effectively through written work product is needed. Organized and disciplined time management skills is essential.
