Privacy Attorney

Chicago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks privacy attorney with 7+ years of experience working with technology companies on data security and privacy matters to join its growing practice. The candidate will be advising clients on data security and privacy compliance. Will be drafting privacy and data security-related policies. Assisting clients with legal strategy. Assisting in training various business units on data security and privacy matters. Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Provide exceptional customer service. Should have experience working with technology companies. Must have experience advising clients on data security and privacy compliance, such as the General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act. Should have experience drafting privacy policies and security policies. CIPP/US certification a plus. Must be licensed in Illinois, Colorado or California. A book of business, or proven track record of building a book of business, is a plus.

The candidate should be entrepreneurial, business minded and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, organized, proactive and has strong communication skills. Should be a self-starter and loves the freedom to work independently and remotely, but has the self-discipline to stay focused on the greater goals of the law firm.
