Job Overview: A prestigious law firm seeks a qualified Transactions Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join their Transactions Practice Group. The role involves supporting a blend of emerging companies and venture capital (ECVC) financing, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and general corporate advisory services. Location:

  • San Francisco, CA

Duties:

  • Handle a range of ECVC financing, M&A, private equity, and general corporate counseling for both public and private entities, private equity funds, and entrepreneurs.
  • Draft and manage sophisticated legal documents related to transactions.
  • Advise clients on matters concerning mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions.
  • Engage in direct client and partner interaction, fostering strong client-facing relationships.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate law with an emphasis on venture capital, early-stage financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other commercial transactions.
  • Proficiency in document drafting and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and high-energy environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction(s) or eligibility for timely admission aligned with the office of hire.

Skills:

  • Expertise in venture capital and early-stage financing transactions.
  • Strong drafting and project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Strong client relations and communication abilities.
