Attorney I

Rockville office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an attorney I with 1-year of experience. The candidate will provide status updates, legal analysis, and legal strategy recommendations to clients. Handle a large caseload, including all aspects of matters from assignment to conclusion, under the supervision of Senior Attorneys. A comprehensive review of all conditions precedent to the initiation of the action, including a review of loan documents, financials, and demand letters. Draft and review documents and correspondence in connection with foreclosure actions. Ensure all internal systems are updated to include findings, documentation, and recommendations. Exercise the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism. Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable. Participate in and attend court conferences, mediation and motion practice as needed. Virginia State Bar Membership Required.

The candidate must have a JD from an accredited law school. Basic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control are strongly preferred. Must have strong negotiation skills. Must have superior time management skills. Must have the ability to work independently. Must have meticulous, analytical skills i.e. demonstrate an excellent ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations. Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills. Must have intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.
