Senior Corporate Attorney

Coral Gables office of our client seeks a senior corporate attorney with 7+ years of experience. 10+ years of experience in civil litigation is needed; preferably in corporate and fraud matters (experience in transactional and/or contract drafting a plus). Transactional experience is needed. Experience litigating arbitrations is preferred. Experience handling legal matters involving Latin American and European countries is desired. The candidate will be responsible for various corporate and commercial law matters, including assisting in litigation, drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents, case management, conducting discovery, attending hearings, research, providing sound legal advice to clients, and supporting the Managing Partner when needed. Maintaining a willingness to learn each day, accept and follow directions, and embrace new challenges. Must be an active member of the Florida Bar who is, and must remain, in good standing and licensed to practice law. Fully bilingual is a plus (English and Spanish).

The candidate must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school. Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work under strict deadlines. Knowledge of Florida law and corporate law is required. Must be proficient in (with a genuine enjoyment for) litigating cases at all stages. Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Westlaw, and overall good internet navigation skills are needed. Strong drafting, researching, and negotiating skills are required. Must maintain a high level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism at all times and exercise sound judgment, discretion, and loyalty in all matters. Demonstrate an inherently strong work ethic, and the willingness and ability to assume greater responsibility as needed. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, which include communicating in both an effective and efficient manner. Must have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize workflow appropriately based on the companys needs. Demonstrate the ability to consistently meet deadlines and achieve departmental objectives. Being adaptable and possessing good listening skills are required. Must have a business-oriented and solution-oriented mindset. Must work well both independently and as a team player, with a willingness and ability to take on assignments outside of the normal areas of responsibilities as needed. Developing expertise in specific areas pertinent to the companys business and staying current with relevant precedent and best practices.
