Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a family law associate attorney with 5+ years of legal experience, and an active license to practice law in California. The candidate will assume 20-25 active family cases with supervision that involve the dissolution of marriage, legal separation, parentage, child custody, spousal support, child support, attorneys fees, high net worth clients, and complex litigation, as well as prosecuting and defending restraining orders. Will interact with clients from the beginning to the end of the case so that the client feels the attorney is responsive and compassionate to the clients needs. Deliver a fast, written product, addressing the clients concerns, that is persuasive without grammatical and spelling errors, including preparation of RFOs, Declarations, and Memoranda of Points and Authorities. Able to propound and respond to discovery, including Declarations of Disclosure, Requests for Production, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Subpoenas, and Depositions. Basic understanding of financial documents, including tax returns, calculating support on DissoMaster, and completing Income and Expense Declarations. Appear in court at least a couple of hearings per week, mostly in LASC Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Stanley Mosk, and Ventura County Superior Court. Advanced skills such as examining the marital standard of living and business valuations are a plus. Should preferably be bilingual in Spanish, familiar with judicial council forms, DissoMaster, MS Office, and PDF reader/authoring software. Should preferably have Certified Family Law Specialist licensure.
