Duties:

  • Conduct mediation and trial proceedings with a focus on family law cases
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues to provide informed legal advice
  • Draft various legal documents, including memorandums, briefs, and correspondence
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, court officials, and colleagues
  • Organize and manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions
  • Promote personal and firm services to potential clients through networking and marketing efforts
  • Prepare for litigation by performing discovery and due diligence on contracts and agreements
  • Manage a schedule that accommodates client consultations and case closures
  • Achieve a target of closing consultations within the firm’s established range
  • Ensure timely approval of invoices to support the firm’s financial health
  • Collaborate with support staff to maximize productivity and client service
  • Update case management systems with accurate information regarding fees and client details
  • Share the workload with colleagues to meet community service objectives
  • Engage in personal and firm brand enhancement through blogging, social media, and community participation
  • Seek positive client feedback and encourage online reviews
  • Provide advice and communication to clients throughout the legal process
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Strong legal research skills
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant state or eligibility for reciprocal admission
  • 4 to 6 years of experience practicing law

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar association
