Job Overview: This position seeks a securities attorney with extensive experience managing structured securities offerings within an investment funds practice. The role focuses on commercial real estate law, particularly real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The attorney will represent various public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional and financial investors in complex transactions. Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills are essential. This is a professional track/non-partnership position available in multiple U.S. offices.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings for clients

  • Provide counsel on commercial real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions

  • Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and financial investors

  • Assist with transactions involving acquisitions, restructurings, and development

  • Collaborate with teams to execute complex financings and legal matters

  • Ensure compliance with applicable securities and real estate regulations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings

  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred

  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate law

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing abilities

  • Attention to detail and good business judgment

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Ability to influence and persuade others

  • Management and leadership skills
