Hackensack office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney. The candidate will learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and provide legal counsel to existing clients. Perform legal research, draft documents, and keep client files up to date. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Organize and maintain files to ensure file accuracy. Collaborate with clients, senior attorneys, and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently. Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of a senior attorney. Active membership with the ABA is required.

The candidate must have completion of a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Should be prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow the client base. Successful completion of the Bar exam is needed.
