Professional Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking an experienced Professional Liability Associate Attorney to join its Litigation team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience representing licensed professionals in litigation matters and must be licensed to practice law in Georgia. Location:

Duties:

• Assess new files, develop action plans, establish budgets, and provide recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing comprehensive reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in professional liability or related litigation.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn database management systems.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Georgia.
