Estate and Trust Associate or Shareholder Attorney

Champaign office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an estate and trust associate or shareholder attorney with 5+ years of experience handling sophisticated estate and trust planning and administration matters and the potential scope of work. The candidate will provide estate and trust planning and administration counsel to clients of varying backgrounds, including high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and their families. Represent fiduciaries throughout the probate and trust settlement process. Design customized estate plans. Draft wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, trust funding instruments, and other transfer instruments of varying sophistication and objectives. Craft business ownership succession plans and strategies for asset protection and tax efficiency. Advise clients regarding philanthropic and gifting solutions. Prepare IRS Form 709 gift tax returns and federal and state estate and generation-skipping transfer tax returns. Should be admitted to the Illinois Bar.

The candidate should have a record of sustained achievement. Must be an exceptional communicator to clients and other professional advisors. Should think strategically, critically, creatively, and swiftly. Should be able to generate clients and maintain strong client relationships.
