Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid to senior-level pipeline regulatory associate attorney with 3-8 years of experience and hazardous liquid pipelines, LNG facilities, and other assets across the country and practices before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), Department of Energy (DOE), and federal and state courts. Must have solid, well-rounded foundational knowledge of regulatory policies under the Natural Gas Act, Interstate Commerce Act, and other federal energy laws. Knowledge of the pipeline industry and FERC policies involving pipelines and LNG facilities needed. Previous subject matter or industry experience is necessary. Experience on PHMSA or pipeline safety matters is a plus and should be noted in submissions of interest.

The candidate should have excellent analytical and writing skills. Must have the ability to produce top-notch, short turnaround legal research. Should have strong interpersonal skills for effective internal and client communications.

Areas of expertise include energy, environment and natural resources law-policy. Law offices are based in Washington, D.C. and Seattle, Washington. The legal practice was formed in 1977.
