Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks creditors' rights and bankruptcy attorney with 5+ years of litigation and/or transactional real estate experience. The candidate should be knowledgeable about enforcement of real property security interests, particularly on the lender side. This includes: judicial and non-judicial foreclosures; "the one form of action rule"; the anti-deficiency rule; enforcing assignment of rents; receivership law and proceedings; pre-judgment remedies, including attachments and post-judgment enforcement actions; and conducting unified sales of real and personal property. Bankruptcy experience should include understanding the fraudulent conveyance laws and litigating claims, litigating confirmation of all plans of reorganization, assignment and assumption of executory contracts and leases, filling motions for relief from the automatic stay to foreclose, purchasing assets out of bankruptcy, making loans to an entity in bankruptcy, cash collateral issues, and bankruptcy appeals. Must be able to advise clients with respect to all areas of Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, and be familiar with the law with respect to guaranties in California. Knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and preparing loan opinions is a plus.

The Los Angeles office of this vigorous firm specializes in real estate law, environmental law, and civil litigation. The firm boasts an extremely dynamic group of attorneys; the firm's partnership is both young (most are in their 30s and 40s) and talented. Associates are treated very well, and people are generally quite happy working here. Retention is incredibly high; in fact, approximately two-thirds of the associates who joined the firm in the last five years are still at the firm. Despite the firm's size, salaries are only slightly below market.
