Immigration Attorney

Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an immigration attorney preferably with 1-2 years of experience in immigration practice. The candidate will take responsibility and initiative for assigned cases in a busy immigration practice under the advice of the supervising attorney. Will prepare court filings, motions, and applications before USCIS, the immigration courts, U.S. federal courts, the NVC, and U.S. consulates. Draft a variety of written work products to support litigation and other advocacy. Handle client contacts and keep clients updated about their cases. Maintained client records in accordance with the firms policies and procedures. Perform legal and factual research. Participate in firm marketing and communications efforts. Admission and membership in good standing in a U.S. State Bar are required. Attorneys with 5+ years of experience are also encouraged to apply. French fluency is preferred.

The candidate should have a Law Degree (J.D.). or equivalent. Must have excellent writing and research skills. Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, energetic environment are needed. Must have an interest in taking the initiative and responsibility for cases assigned and follow the direction of supervising attorney. Should have the ability to complete case work efficiently. Commitment to providing excellent client service is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of people are needed. Must have the willingness to participate in firm marketing and communications efforts. Should have a facility in the use of computers, preferably PC, Windows-based operating environment.
