IP&T Patent Agent

Kansas City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an IP&T patent agent with 7+ years of experience. The candidate will work side-by-side with talented partners, associates, and patent agents to help clients protect some of their most important inventions at the forefront of technology. Will be drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications. Meeting with clients to discuss new patent disclosures and ongoing prosecution matters. Assisting with client portfolio management. Conducting technical research to support clients technology. Providing technical support for the practice. Strong educational background in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or a comparable degree is required. Must be registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. The previous law firm or in-house experience is required.

The candidate should be conscientious with proven attention to detail. Possesses strong analytical skills and an ability to convey technical ideas concisely and effectively. Embraces teamwork and works effectively with others. Should have excellent writing skills, technical and otherwise. Exhibits professional confidence and an ability to work independently.
