A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Attorney to join its dedicated team in Roseville, California. Duties

  • Draft comprehensive written discovery requests and responses, including objections
  • Oversee and guide document redaction and review processes
  • Manage the meet and confer process with opposing counsel
  • Review and approve preliminary discovery responses and deposition notices prepared by staff
  • Prepare deposition outlines and actively participate in depositions as both taking and defending attorney
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction for discovery phases within assigned cases

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with sound independent judgment
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments
  • Demonstrated personal work ethic and perseverance
  • Prior experience with written discovery requests and responses
  • Experience in drafting and responding to meet and confer letters

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active admission to the California State Bar is preferred; post-bar law clerks awaiting results are encouraged to apply
