Job Overview

A well-respected family law firm is seeking a full-time Senior Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join its Denver-based legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in family law and/or civil litigation, along with the ability to manage a demanding caseload, provide high-level legal counsel, and maintain strong relationships with clients, court personnel, and the legal community. This position provides the opportunity to work on complex family law matters with autonomy and professional support in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, and support disputes

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda

  • Prepare clients for hearings, depositions, and court proceedings

  • Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients

  • Negotiate settlements and manage conflict resolution

  • Maintain strong, responsive client communication throughout the case lifecycle

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams to support firm objectives and client goals

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience practicing family law and/or civil litigation

  • Prior experience as a judicial clerk or law clerk is preferred

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills for client and court interactions

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado
