Private Client Service Associate Attorney

New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a private client service associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The candidate will communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, and other counsel. Must have significant experience primarily in tax law, wealth management and trusts and estates. Counsel high-net-worth individuals and family entities on estate gift generation-skipping transfer and income tax matters. Must have trusts and estates experience at a large NYC firm with a Private Client Services practice comparable. Must have experience primarily in tax law, wealth management, and trusts and estates. Must have experience in estate tax planning, estate administration, drafting estate planning documents, and administering estates. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of NY.

The candidate must have a JD degree or; Bachelors degree. Preferential for Candidates to have an LL.M. in tax. Must have the skills to counsel high-net-worth individuals and family entities on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax matters. Must understand how to prepare and review gift tax and estate tax returns. Must have excellent tax research and state law research skills. Must have top academic credentials and a stellar law firm employment history. Must have the ability to perform legal research and analysis; ability to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools; ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others; ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to understand and follow written and oral directions; knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, WORD, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
