Product Liability Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its renowned Product Liability practice. The successful candidate will handle a variety of complex civil litigation cases with a focus on product liability and personal injury defense. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and develop expertise in product liability litigation, including handling discovery, drafting motions, and participating in trials.

Location:

• Indianapolis, IN

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including fact and expert discovery.
• Draft and argue procedural, evidentiary, and dispositive motions.
• Participate in court conferences, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients to develop strategies and manage cases effectively.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues to ensure optimal service and results.
• Contribute to the firm’s litigation strategies and case development.

Requirements:

• 5-9 years of experience in federal and state civil litigation, preferably in personal injury and/or product liability defense.
• Proven experience in handling all aspects of a civil case, including discovery and motion practice.
• Trial experience and ability to manage courtroom proceedings.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Enthusiasm for client service and litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Ability to argue motions and participate in trial proceedings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
