Richmond office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks intellectual property patent agent or technical specialist with 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience. The candidate will be developing and implementing patent filing strategies. Will be preparing patent applications under the supervision of a patent attorney. Preparing search requests and analysis search results for patentability, freedom to operate, clearance, validity/invalidity and infringement/non-infringement assessments. Analyzing office actions and preparing responses under the supervision of a patent attorney. Conducting interviews with Patent Office examiners and other patent prosecution-related activity. Assisting in patent and other litigation, assisting with patent opinions and supporting intellectual property licensing and other transactions. Writing scientific and technical documents in clear concise English. Managing a docket with multiple clients and deadlines. Conducting legal and technical research and analysis using all available resources in support of various patent-related matters. Must have patent application drafting and prosecution experience and well-developed patent database search skills. Should preferably have an Electrical Engineering/Computer Science degree with experience handling patent prosecution relating to internet technologies, data analytics, enterprise software systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning, Blockchain, cryptocurrency, Fintech, and NFTs. Must be a USPTO-registered.

The candidate should be forward thinking, thorough and detail oriented. Should possess substantive academic and professional knowledge and work well with others in a law firm environment. Must have excellent time management skills which they can utilize both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
