Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is actively seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its litigation practice. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for an associate attorney to gain substantial hands-on experience with catastrophic injury cases and other complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Connecticut, with preference given to those also admitted in Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.

Location:

• Hartford, CT

Duties:

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Work on high-exposure catastrophic injury cases under the guidance of senior attorneys

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, memoranda, and briefs

• Participate in hearings, court appearances, and settlement negotiations

• Collaborate with legal support staff and other attorneys to manage caseloads effectively

• Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury or insurance defense

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases

• Demonstrated interest in complex or catastrophic injury litigation

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Connecticut (required)

• Admission in Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island (strongly preferred)

Skills:

• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills

• Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

• Proficiency in managing discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

• Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure
