Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Associate Attorney in Wilmington, DE. This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated business and civil litigation matters in a collaborative environment. The position provides hands-on experience, client interaction, and mentorship while representing a diverse range of clients in complex disputes.

Duties

  • Assist with all phases of complex civil litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
  • Manage and coordinate discovery, including e-discovery.
  • Participate in depositions, court appearances, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updates.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters.
  • Handle sophisticated and high-exposure matters with professionalism and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice in Delaware required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense litigation, commercial litigation, or complex business disputes.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience managing discovery and e-discovery processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Strong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Delaware Bar.
