Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs related to medical malpractice cases.
  • Assist trial lawyers in preparing for court proceedings and trials.
  • Analyze case law and statutory authority to support litigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to keep them informed on case developments.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments in medical malpractice and litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice.
  • Impeccable legal research and writing skills.
