Duties:

• Represent clients in federal Section 1983 civil rights lawsuits, primarily in Washington federal district courts.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various complex legal matters.
• Handle all aspects of civil litigation, from case investigation through trial or settlement.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and client communications.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Requirements:

• A valid Bar license in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with federal court experience preferred.
• Proven experience in legal writing, drafting motions, and adhering to civil procedural rules.
• Experience with Section 1983 claims is a strong advantage but not mandatory.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Washington State.
