Mid-Level or Senior Associate/Counsel needed for Morristown office

Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Mid-Level or Senior Litigation Attorney to join its Morristown, NJ office. This role involves representing clients in complex product liability cases (including environmental, asbestos, and talc matters) and commercial disputes, particularly those involving policyholders, brokers, and both domestic and international insurers. Location

• Morristown, New Jersey

Duties

• Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs

• Prepare professional correspondence for colleagues and clients

• Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and other tools

• Draft and respond to interrogatories and document demands

• Review large document collections in preparation for litigation

• Submit legal filings to courts

• Assist in trial preparation and strategy development

Requirements

• 5+ years of active litigation experience preferred

• Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial disputes and/or product liability matters

• Courtroom experience, including argument of motions, required

• Trial experience strongly preferred

• Ability to manage multiple projects and litigation deadlines efficiently

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey and New York (required)
