Senior Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney

Birmingham office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a senior real estate litigation associate attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The candidate will enjoy a broad range of work acting for domestic and international clients including Sales and development disputes. Rights to light issues. Commercial boundary disputes and trespass. Will advise concerning easements, restrictive covenants, and overage. Landlord and tenant disputes - including contentious and non-contentious lease renewal advice, rent review, dilapidations, service charge disputes, specific performance, and lease interpretation. Litigation arising out of the termination of Real Estate contracts (repudiation and rescission). Commercial possession and forfeiture actions. Property-based insolvency issues. Enforcement of security. Minerals litigation. Telecommunication code issues. ADR, arbitration, and mediation. Should preferably be a qualified Solicitor, ideally qualified in England and Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction. Strong Real Estate Litigation experience from a recognized practice is a plus. A proven track record of leading on cases is desired.

The candidate should preferably be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to clients. Recognizing and seizing opportunities for the firm, including repeat business is a plus. Building and developing own network of internal and external contacts is preferred. Being commercially astute and staying current on key legal and business news is desired. Excellent skills in communication, client relations, and team-working is a plus. Being aware of business development initiatives in the department and identifying ways to contribute is preferred. Being proactive and innovative is a plus. Should preferably have strong technical and social media skills. Being a strong collaborator is desired.
