Brielle office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks estate administration, litigation and planning attorney with 5 years of experience. The candidate will handle the residential real estate closings, some municipal court, and civil litigation matters. Will represent clients in court or before government agencies. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients. Advise clients on estate and other legal matters. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes. Comply with all legal standards and regulations. Perform legal research and writing of pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law. Must also have experience in the additional areas of residential real estate transactions, and family law and the following: Uncontested Estate Administration: Probate Wills; Qualify Executors and Administrators; Notice of Probate; client interview and document review; devising estate administration plan; investigation of assets/debts; gathering assets (including working with banks, insurance companies and various other entities); communications with heirs and creditors; transfer of assets (including sale of real property); coordinating ancillary proceedings; prepare and file inheritance tax returns, L-8s and L-9s; referring/coordinating with estate accountant for final returns and fiduciary returns; preparation of, and review of informal accountings, consents, and refunding bond and releases; overseeing distributions and closing estates; Estate Litigation: pre-litigation issues (investigation, demands); probating copies of wills; contested appointments of fiduciaries; complaints to compel accountings and remove fiduciaries; and defense of same; Elder Docs: Preparation of Wills, POAs, and HealthCare POAs; Guardianship: Preparation and filing a Complaint for guardianship, and proceedings to appoint Guardian; Real Estate: Handle Residential purchase and sale contracts from contract through closing; Municipal/Criminal: Traffic; disorderly persons; some criminal offenses; Family: Divorce Proceedings: (pleadings, discovery, motions); Post-Judgment Applications (Alimony, Custody, and Child Support); Juvenile Adjudications; Civil Litigation: Pleadings; written discovery; depositions; procedural motions; dispositive motions. Previous experience in estate administration, estate planning and estate litigation in New Jersey is required. Should have familiarity with various estate planning, estate accounting and estate litigation documents. Strong working knowledge of procedural rules governing civil/estate litigation and administration of estates in New Jersey Law Division and Chancery Division/ Surrogate's court is needed.

The candidate should have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Excellent skills in legal research and writing are needed. Should have ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, managing your own caseload and calendar.
