Civil Litigation Attorney

San Diego office of our client seeks civil litigation attorney with 10 years of experience. The candidate will be meeting with clients, drafting pleadings, administering depositions, propounding and responding to discovery, conducting research, writing motions, making court appearances, arguing motions, participating in trials, interviewing witnesses, drafting agreements, negotiating settlements, attending mediations, and arbitrations, handling civil litigation cases and other activities requested by the partners. Must be a licensed California attorney. Courtroom experience preferred. Knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure is required.

The candidate should have excellent academic credentials. Strong work ethic and reliability are a must. Must have exemplary client service skills with prompt response levels at all times. Desire to make court appearances, argue motions, and participate in hearings are required. Must be detail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneys. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, business judgment, and strategic legal thinking are required. The ability to manage workflow independently to meet firm deadlines while achieving business and risk management objectives is needed.
