Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle complex intellectual property litigation cases, including trade secrets and other soft IP issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court and before administrative bodies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategy.
  • Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and industry trends.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
  • 1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on trade secrets and soft IP.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of insightful legal research and analysis.
  • Exceptional persuasive writing and argumentation abilities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is a plus.

Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Illinois, California, New York, or the District of Columbia, active and in good standing.
