Casualty Associate Attorney

A law firm in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Casualty Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in handling casualty cases, with a strong foundation in personal injury, premises liability, and other general liability matters. The role requires excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage a caseload from inception through resolution. Candidates must be admitted to the Bar.

Duties:

• Manage and oversee a caseload of casualty cases, including personal injury, premises liability, and other general liability matters.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs related to casualty cases.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and development.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and managing document production.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Provide clients with legal counsel and advice on casualty-related matters.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and litigation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Prepare and present oral arguments in court, as well as during settlement negotiations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting casualty cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in New Jersey.
• 2-6 years of experience in casualty law, including personal injury, premises liability, and general liability cases.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
