Litigation Attorney

Providence office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a litigation attorney with 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas. The candidate will handle personal injury litigation. Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents. Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information. Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client's behalf when appropriate. Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation. Document and update the status of all case files in Smart Advocate. Work with paralegals and other attorneys to resolve files. Must have experience in building large cases for maximum value, using experts, research, and witness testimony. Membership in the Rhode Island State Bar Association and a state license to practice law are mandatory.

The candidate should have a good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice. Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred. Must be computer proficient.
