Lincoln office of our client seeks an associate attorney with experience. The candidate will accurately track and input billable hours into practice management software in a timely fashion. Will answer phone calls and greet clients as needed due to the small firm environment. Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals. Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action. Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice. Maintained client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information was handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used in proceedings and contract negotiations. A strong interest in family law is required. Should preferably have some courtroom experience. Must be technology proficient (prior experience and extremely comfortable using Microsoft Office products, practice management software, Windows 10 computers, and iPads). Must have passed the Bar exam. Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) is required.

The candidate should preferably have strong legal research and writing skills. Shows initiative and seeking responsibility are required. Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure. Adapting and responding to issues and challenges as they arise in a fast-paced environment is needed. Must be willing to learn on the job with training and guidance from the Firm. Should have solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys. Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow client base is required. Must have Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school.
