Litigation Attorney

Sioux Falls office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks litigation attorney with 2-5 years of relevant experience, such as motion practice, discovery dispute, and trial preparation. The candidate will be working collaboratively as part of a team. Will be representing clients and businesses in civil litigation and other legal proceedings. Drafting and filing briefs, motions, and other necessary judicial pleadings. Interviewing and deposing witnesses further facilitates the discovery process. Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice. Managing multiple clients, cases, and legal activities that carry varying deadlines. Collaborating with clients and their advisors to develop strategies designed to meet specific goals. Business development, including professional organization involvement and writing. Supervise paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Successful passing of the Bar exam is required. Must have Active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in South Dakota. 5-7 years of specific litigation/trial experience is preferred.

Must have excellent interpersonal and client service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are needed. Must have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. The ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment is needed. Bachelors degree is required. Must have Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Strong work ethic, drive, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small team environment are needed. Excellent academic and professional credentials plus.
