Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a private equity resource attorney with 4+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practice. The candidate will be working with the Mergers and Acquisitions resource attorney and knowledge management team to assist with Mergers and Acquisitions/PE data and experience input and maintenance. Will be preparing drafts (or revising existing precedent) of template documents. Curating and organizing the PE groups forms, precedents, and other know-how. Cross-checking the overlay between PE and other practice groups. Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relative to PE practice and the firms core industry verticals (including software and SaaS, fintech, telecom, and education); preparing summaries and alerts regarding the same; ensuring new legal requirements are reflected in practice resources. Developing and maintaining the internal landing page for the PE group. Coordinating with firm legal education team to brainstorm and prepare content for associate training and other firmwide training efforts relative to PE. Working closely with PE/Mergers and Acquisitions marketing team to strategize on Firms PE promotion generally (including content for PE blog), assisting the marketing team with the creation of content for pitches and teach-ins (PPTs, articles, books, etc.) and tailoring PE pitch materials to key industry verticals. Working with quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and PE sponsor-initiated transactions. Working with resource attorneys in other practice groups on best practices and overlapping initiatives. Helping field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources. Be involved in resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects. All other duties as assigned or required. Must be a licensed attorney. Should preferably have a basic handle on private equity, including Mergers and Acquisitions, general portfolio company management (including applicable regulatory issues), general familiarity with partnership-based equity compensation and related tax issues (including with respect to the award of partnership interests (including profits interests), general familiarity with Mergers and Acquisitions acquisition financing (including mid-market LBOs), general corporate and alternative entity matters, and other financial transactions. Knowledge of the industries that Firms regularly advises is required.

The candidate should have strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills. Must have mastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the Private Equity practice group. Excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills are needed. A confident and engaging presenter is required. Should have strong intellectual ability and interpersonal and technical skills. Must be a self-starter. A team player is required. Should have organizational and time management skills; attention to detail.
