Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm is actively seeking associates to join our Electricity Group. The candidate should have 3-6 years of FERC regulatory experience. Must preferably have solid, well-rounded foundational knowledge of regulatory policies under the Federal Power Act and other federal energy laws. Knowledge of FERC cost-of-service ratemaking policies and practices are preferred. Experience with rate cases before FERC is desired. Knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariff and wholesale electricity markets are desired. Any experience with natural gas rate matters should be noted in submissions of interest.
The candidate must be capable of working independently, as well as collaborating effectively with other professionals. Should have strong analytical research and writing skills. Excellent communication skills are needed.
Areas of expertise include energy, environment and natural resources law-policy. Law offices are based in Washington, D.C. and Seattle, Washington. The legal practice was formed in 1977. More than one-hundred very skilled attorneys and government policy group make up the law practice.
