Job Overview:
A well-regarded civil litigation firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its personal injury practice in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess 1–4 years of experience in personal injury law, with an emphasis on litigation and case strategy. This role is designed to support the professional growth of early-career attorneys, offering mentorship, courtroom exposure, and opportunities for trial participation in a collaborative and tech-forward legal environment.

Location:

  • Dallas, Texas

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters through various stages of litigation

  • Draft and file legal documents, including complaints and motions

  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including meet and confer letters

  • Take and defend depositions

  • Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

  • Prepare clients for depositions and hearings

  • Negotiate settlements and evaluate case value

  • Conduct legal research and support case strategy development

  • Participate in trial preparation and focus groups as assigned

  • Collaborate with legal assistants, investigators, and senior attorneys

Requirements:

  • 1–4 years of personal injury litigation experience

  • Ability to manage pre-litigation and litigation matters independently

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills

  • Experience with motion practice and court appearances

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)

  • Familiarity with workers' compensation cases (a plus)

  • Strong case management and organizational skills

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated

  • Proficient in legal research and writing

  • Interest in trial work and continuous professional development

  • Comfortable working in a team environment and using legal technology tools
