Corporate (Fund Formation) Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Associate to join its Fund Formation team in the New York office. This role focuses on advising private equity sponsors and investors on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds, as well as navigating regulatory and compliance issues.

Location:

Duties:

• Advise private equity sponsors and investors on fund structuring, formation, and operational matters.
• Handle legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for fund sponsors.
• Engage directly with high-priority clients and investors, demonstrating professionalism and strategic insight.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members on complex fund formation assignments.
• Balance multiple projects, manage priorities, and ensure all client needs are met with attention to detail.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of fund formation experience within a law firm setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with immediate client and partner contact required.
• High level of professionalism and ability to engage effectively with clients.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar.
