Lexington office of our client seeks an immigration associate attorney with relevant legal experience. Prior exposure to immigration law is required. The candidate will perform initial consultations for and case assessments of potential new clients. Represent individuals in removal proceedings before immigration court for master hearings, bond hearings, and individual/merit hearings. Prepare USCIS and EOIR applications, submissions of evidence, and other documentation for the management and progression of a case. Manage a diverse, extensive caseload and coordinate competing deadlines. Draft motions, briefs, and appeals for a variety of immigration cases. Consistently communicate with clients. Manage and supervise administrative staff and paralegals. Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky. Bilingual in Spanish is required.
The candidate must be highly motivated and detail-oriented. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume law firm setting are needed.
