Must have broad experience in patent prosecution and patent litigation, including Markman hearings. Experience in trademark protection and enforcement, and trade secret and unfair competition litigation is a plus. This solid and growing firm (which recently acquired a smaller firm, bringing its total attorneys to over 200) does a good job of balancing the power center of the firm over its many locations throughout Virginia and up the East Coast. Although this firm practices every major area, the corporate section has been the most vital in recent years in terms of growth and development. The Virginia and DC offices work in concert many times for the best results. A small firm feel overall with a mid-sized regional presence, this firm will likely continue to establish its mark in the region.
