Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have an interest and experience in civil litigation, including trial experience, and will be able to provide strategic advice and counsel to clients. The successful candidate will be able to develop and implement strategies for the successful resolution of cases and provide representation in court proceedings with the assistance of senior counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Research and analyze legal issues.
• Conduct discovery and depositions.
• Advise clients on legal matters and provide strategic advice and counsel.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials.
• Develop and implement strategies for the successful resolution of cases.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations relevant to clients’ cases.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado Bar.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation, including trial experience.
• Excellent communication and research skills.
• Ability to provide strategic advice and counsel to clients.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
