Derivatives and Structured Products Associate Attorney

London office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a derivatives and structured products associate attorney preferably with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience). The candidate will be advising clients on the establishment and updating of on and off-balance-sheet structured products programs; securitized and OTC derivatives; hedging arrangements as part of structured finance transactions; structured repo and securities lending arrangements; repackagings; and regulatory advice connected with the above. Will possesses good working knowledge and understanding of the legal principles associated with the scope of work outlined above; proactively develops this knowledge further. Shows awareness of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions.

The candidate should have teamwork and interpersonal skills. Motivated, reliable, and flexible are required. Good attention to detail and focus on accuracy are required. Should have an appreciation of when to seek advice and guidance. Must have strong project management and organizational skills, ensuring timely delivery to high-quality standards. Strong interpersonal skills (internal and client-facing), both written and oral needed. The ability to work effectively with others in a team is required. Must demonstrate financial awareness - attention to budgets and costs and timely completion of time recording. Must have a strong academic background with excellent written communication and drafting skills. Should have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team.
