Redwood City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid-level labor and employment associate attorney with 4+ years of experience. The candidate will provide advice and counseling on various employment law matters to emerging growth and start-up companies. Counseling includes and/or relates to: business restructuring, restrictive covenants, wage and hour matters, exempt / non-exempt / contractor classification analysis, and state and federal leave laws, particularly for FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and Paid Sick Leave matters. Should have experience with drafting and reviewing performance improvement plans, handling discipline and termination matters, drafting employee policies, handbooks, sales commission plans and separation and release agreements, as well as providing day-to-day advice to HR professionals and start-up executives. Prior experience working in a law firm is a plus. Employment litigation experience is a plus; must have experience providing advice and counseling on employment matters. Admission to the California is strongly preferred.
