Chicago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks healthcare litigation associate attorney with 5-7 years of experience. The candidate should have significant experience in handling healthcare and other complex commercial litigation matters. The candidate will take ownership/responsibility of various healthcare litigation and related healthcare regulatory matters. Will provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis of pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents. Draft pleadings and other case documents . Attend hearings throughout the country. Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses and assist with preparations for trial and arbitration hearings. Manage matters from commencement to final resolution. Manage the collection, review and production of ESI, including working with clients, vendors, contact attorneys and colleagues to efficiently complete such discovery projects on time and on budget; and competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys. Familiarity with and ability to prepare litigation documents is essential. Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices is needed. Experience taking and defending depositions is preferred. Experience at trial or with arbitration hearings is preferred. Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Illinois.

The candidate will have ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must have ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. Strong organization and matter management skills essential. Must have ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associates, Support Staff and Vendors; Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team. Clear and effective drafting skills essential. Should have strong negotiating skills. Juris Doctor degree is desired.
