Natural Resources Attorney

Sacramento office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks natural resources attorney with 5-7 years of experience, including state and federal litigation, to join the firms Environmental and Natural Resources Group. The candidate will be working on a daily basis as part of a team that serves public agency, non-profit, and private-sector clients throughout California, providing guidance and representation in state and federal courts, in negotiations with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, and in transactions to acquire or sell water, land or other natural resources. Should preferably have experience in water law, environmental law, municipal law, and real property law. An engineering or science background would be a plus. Interest in water law and environmental law is essential. Must be Admitted to California Bar.

The candidate must be highly motivated with a high level of dedication and commitment to providing excellent client service. Strong analytical skills to spot issues and develop arguments supporting client objectives in complex legal and institutional settings are essential. Should have strong writing skills to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and decision-makers. Strong oral communication skills are needed. The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, exercise sound judgment, and establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues is essential. Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and to lead projects to completion needed.
