Associate Attorney

Salt Lake City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks associate attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation, medical malpractice experience. The candidate will handle a variety of matters with a forward-thinking firm, including General Liability, Products Liability, Executive Liability and Business Litigation for nationwide clients. Will handle a substantial caseload involving civil litigation and insurance defense litigation in a number of the following areas: medical malpractice, general, products and premises liability, financial institutions, professional liability and business litigation. Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda. Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions. Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency. Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts. Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence. Assist with and participate in trial preparation, mediations and court appearances; and interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff. Must be licensed to practice in Utah state and federal district courts. Additional state admissions preferred. Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures; and proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and navigating the internet essential.

The candidate should have strong legal research and analytical skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have strong attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills. Should have ability to move from case to case.
