Cleveland office of an AmLaw firm seeks senior ERISA/benefits attorney with 6-10 years of workplace law and employment litigation experience. The candidate will serve in defense of agency discrimination charges and lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims. Will provide advice and counseling to employer clients involving workplace law issues. Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, contract, employment tort and non-compete cases. Train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws. Work individually and as part of a team. Should have knowledge of and experience with health and welfare plans, tax qualified plans, executive compensation, fiduciary matters and transactional matters. Must preferably have experience with health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, wellness programs, COBRA, deferred compensation, and executive compensation. Ohio Bar Admission is preferred.

The candidate should have a JD degree from accredited law school. Excellent analytic, writing and verbal skills are needed. Must have ability to independently produce quality work product. Excellent attention to detail, including working with document intensive cases are essential. Strong organizational and case management skills, including managing numerous cases at once are needed. Ability to work on a collaborative team and effectively utilize other professionals is essential. Ability to work in fast-paced environment is needed. Strong client acquisition and development ability is needed. Strong commitment to continued client development activity is essential.
