A law firm located in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing legal support to the litigation group, working under the supervision of assigned attorneys. They will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting factual investigations, maintaining case records, and ensuring effective communication with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation.

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, including notices, discovery, affidavits, subpoenas, trial exhibits, and correspondence, for review and approval by an attorney.
  • Prepare deposition summaries for use in mediation and trial.
  • Familiarity with e-filing procedures.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, court personnel, counsel, third parties, private investigators, medical providers, and experts.
  • Perform factual investigations and analyze file data.
  • Review and organize case records in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Maintain electronic and hardcopy case files following firm procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
  • Log and submit case time and expense billing for case files.
  • Effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders, including attorneys, clients, customers, employees, vendors, and the general public.
  • Provide monthly case updates to supervising attorneys.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and display exceptional customer service skills.
  • Utilize superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision while exercising sound and independent judgment.
  • Stay current in legal knowledge through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations while meeting Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Law School with a GPA in the top 33%.
  • Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of litigation discovery.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Software).
  • Experience with various practice and case management databases (e.g., iManage) and timekeeping and billing systems.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to convey information clearly and informatively.
  • Ability to read and interpret information accurately.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
